A motor drum is a completely enclosed drum with an electric drive inside. This replaces external components such as motors and gearmotors that require frequent maintenance. Motor drums may be in environments with high exposure to dust and other fine particles, as well as environments with water jets. Moto drums are resistant to most severe environmental conditions.
